Alexander Bublik must have some kind of mental edge on Grigor Dimitrov and if he does it’s an extremely minute margin.
Today in Marseille, Bublik 75 36 76 (8-6) and it’s the third time he’s beaten Dimitrov, the first two victories over the Bulgarian were also in third set tiebreakers!
In 2019 Bublik beat Super G 57 76 (9) 76 (3) and at 2021 Wimbledon 64 76 (6) 76 (4).
Then Dimitrov saved his sanity by beating Bublik in 2021 in Cincy 63 75 and at 2022 Indian Wells 63 64.
But today in Marseille QF the balance of power has swung back to Bublik as he now leads the head to head series 3-2.
It’s a very interesting rivalry between the 31 year old Dimitrov, currently ranked 25, and the 25 year old ranked 50.
