Roger Federer opted to take a morning hit before his final today with John Isner against 17 year old American Zane Khan. Federer focused on baseline hitting, serving and returns, instructing Khan to serve to his backhand, forehand and body serves. Khan was positioned about four feet inside the baseline.

The general feeling among fans and media and players are that the new Miami Open venue at Hard Rock Stadium next to Calder Racetrack and Casino just off the Florida Turnpike has been a resounding success.
There were a few Key Biscayne hardcores who rejected this new venue initially but after a few days, they changed their tune. Having become familiar with the grounds and their favorite destinations, they like the new Miami Open. Continue to read full article...

Dan has asked Roger Federer many questions over the years at pro tennis press conferences, provoking responses that have run the gamut to warm to cool, but his question after the Medvedev match at Miami Open was one of the best responses he's ever collected.
