Dan Weil first started playing (badly) and writing (slightly better) about tennis in high school, with his stories appearing in the vaunted Evanston (IL) High School Evanstonian. After a 15-year hiatus (stuff happens), he began occasionally writing about tennis again, for Bloomberg News. Since then he also has contributed to Tennis Magazine, Sports Business Journal, FoxSports.com, Newsweek.com, TennisWeek.com, ATPTOUR.com and The Palm Beach Post. He once scored game point over Mark Philipppoussis in a pick-up basketball game in Manhattan.
