Laura Siegemund!!!

loveLook at this girl Laura Siegemund of Germany – She’s up a set and 2-0 on Radwanska and just hit a forehand looper deep and then on the next shot a forehand dropshot winner – She has ever shot in the book and she uses a Volkl racquet – This girl is going to be the savior of the WTA – she is the most creative player I’ve seen since Santoro or Rios – And she’s also got a little bit of the Bo Derek cornrows happening – Also she barks out a scream and a fist pump after just about every winner – Tracy Austin just said: “She is in the zone” – She is out-Radwanskaying Radwanska at her own game – Oh wait she just got overruled by the chair ump on a lob that landed on her baseline which she finger pointed as out – the ump came down and called it good – Then despite that embarrassment she wins the next point on a body serve – She held for 3-1 – Also she wears all white and blue asics shoes – my new favorite player is Laura Siegemund though I know nothing about her at all not even her age or ranking except that she beat Halep and Vinci this week and she beat Larcher De Brito last year or this year – Laura is in the SF of the Porsche tourney in Stuttgart Germany and less than a set out of the finals vs Kerber – (Artwork by Andres Bella)

Laura S got swiped by Kerber and is already 28 I believe so the WAT is clearly going to have to look elsewhere for a ‘saviour’.

I’m looking forward to the next big event where EVERYONE is playing.

I mean WTA obviously but ‘what’ might have a certain meaning ! 🙂

She is 28 but she looks 18 – despite this loss to Aussie Queen Kerber it looks like we found the WTA’s version of Victor Estrella /late bloomer –

Well, let’s hope things work out for her whatever her age. But Laura did seem to get very tired in that match.

The WTA certainly needs a boost now since Serena W doesn’t seem that interested in playing tennis these days.
Unfortunately I can see her losing early in major events which won’t be a good exit year…..

Laura was up 4-2 on Kerber and then Kerber won every game – Thought Siegemund used the drop shot too many times probably as a bail out for not wanting to trade rally shots with Kerber who is lethal from the baseline –
