I Love Advocare Energy Supplements

During the Miami Open I walked by the new sponsor Advocare booth a couple of times, as it was next to the IMG booth on the way to grandstand. Finally I took a sample packet of “Spark” and “ReHydrate.”

I tested it before my own practice session and learned the product not only tastes great but it doesn’t have that overload of sugar (like Gatorade and Vitamin Water) which can leave you feeling bloated when you drink too much during a long, hard match on a very hot day.

Curious about Advocare, I went back and asked questions to one of the representatives. Advocare has existed for 24 years. It’s the official sports drink of Major League Soccer and the Miami Open. NFL star Drew Brees has used Advocare products since 2002. Advocare is sold by independent distributors, not retail. It contains amino acids, vitamins, caffeine, vitamin C. It’s comparable to Germany produced Fit Line which is used by Djokovic (and many other tennis pros) without any sponsor deal.

Last Friday I cycled 25 miles from Key Biscayne to Coconut Grove and back into a strong wind and the next day at 9 am won the Miami Open Bud Collins Memorial Media Tennis Tournament, fueled by Advocare “Spark” and “ReHydrate.”

Impressed by the information and the products, I decided to become an independent distributor and announced it on Instagram the same day. About an hour after posting on Instagram, a colleague in the media, Mauricio Paiz approached me in the media center and said he had used Advocare during his college tennis career and the products are excellent. Here is our conversation…

“I used Advocare twelve years ago,” said Paiz. “It helped my game a lot. During my college career (at Florida Atlantic University), the different products gave me an extra boost, helped me get some wins. Helped me to last longer in matches. It gave me the energy I needed when I needed it. The product is good to have in your kit. It could give you an advantage over other players.”

Question: How did you discover Advocare supplements?

Mauricio Paiz: “I’m not going to name those names [smiles]. But an old friend, a WTA world ranked professional, suggested I try it out if I sweat too much or suffer from cramping. Or I needed more energy. They suggested I try it and it helped me out. We used to buy it at a distributor’s house in Boca Raton.”

Question: Did you feel instant results?

Mauricio Paiz: “I don’t feel too much chance in my body, caffeine or vitamin amino acids, I don’t feel it. But it helped me stay at a constant level without feeling tired or things like that most people would feel more. But, for me, it was a constant alertness rather than feeling tired or fatigued.”

Question: How is the taste?

Mauricio Paiz: “The taste has always been great. Good flavors. Not too heavy.”

Question: Do you think a lot of college and professional players are using Advocare or similar supplement products?

Mauricio Paiz: “Yes. Advocare is in the locker room of each of the ATP tournaments. So I would bet they would be using something by Advocare. Advocare is the official supplement drink of the Miami Open.”
