Taylor Townsend is a bust. When she beat Alize Cornet at the FO a couple years ago people claimed she was the next big thing. No. She’s too fat and won’t control her diet. Lose 40 lbs then maybe she’ll have a chance.

Looks that way Bryan – she is stagnating on the far outskirts of the top 100 – I don’t think her body will be able to endure the rigors of playing the top 100 players day in and day out – her rankings is a big disappointment – had no idea she was down that low in the mid 300s – she’s got a looooong way to go to get to the top 100 – sadly at this point it’s hard to see that ever happening –

Townsend has a nice lefty forehand. Has the flair on that side to great things if she can also do the things Bryan and Scoop mention. I would like to see Nicole Vadiosova return to the top. I think her career went down after dating Radek Stephanek.

Townsend does have the style and game but she is not going anywhere in the rankings – stuck in the mid 300 range is extremely concerning – Vaidisova happily quit tennis to devote to her husband Stepanek and was out for at least five years – I was told by a pro of that neighborhood in Bradenton where the pros all live she just did yoga and shopped every day and supported her husband – then the marriage ended and few years ago and she decided to play tennis again last year – She is a great player and once had a match point to be in the French Open final and she was top five in the world – so she certainly can return to that level – wont be easy though —

Word is that Stepanek and Vaidisova have reconciled.

Have not heard that Sharoten – where did you see that news?
