Bettina Bunge sums up the Federer Djokovic Rivarly

12592745_10206883825707426_765858074746143009_nFormer WTA top ten player Bettina Bunge shares her view on the Federer vs Djokovic rivarly: “Actually, I think Roger wants it so badly, he gets much too desperate. He tightens up. Sometimes over ambition, coupled with disliking your opponent – who has owned him and taken from him what he wanted SO much, those GS Finals – can backfire on you. It is really getting to his head. This must be a nightmare for him. I am not buying into him acting blasé about it. Him and Mirka are getting ulcers from it. Novak knows this even more so, hence he came out to DESTROY him. And that folks, he did.”

Bettina Bunge is right about the dislike.

I’ll always remember Wimbledon 2015 after Djokovic sparked Federer. He was classy to Djokovic during the post-match interviews and public ceremony as always, but in the bowels of the Wimbledon facility 10 minutes later he passed Djokovic in the hall. Roger didn’t even acknowledge him. That to me was an inside look at their rivalry outside the public ceremonies.

Good memory Bryan – I saw that encounter too and it was a good catch by the tv cameras – Djokovic was being hugged by his elated wife and Fed just walked by cold shouldering and ignoring Djokovic – twas chance mini confrontation which revealed a lot about how Fed feels about Djok imo —

You will never be happy with Fed behavior.
Yet thanks to Fed’s behavior as number one we have more decency, positivity and politeness in tennis. He started this trend and Rafa, Novak are following it too.
No one is looking for another Sampras type number one.
    Or Murray type.

I am really surprised that you can’t accept that Roger is older and actually happy to still be in top 5.
Look where his old rival Rafa is now.
I think Roger is old enough to be grateful for what he has.

Is he still hungry? Yes he is.
Does it hurt to loose all those final? It hurts greatly.

So why are you surprised that doesn’t even want to look at Novak.

All greats as they come down from number 1 have hard time dealing with looses and not being great anymore.

Latest example – Serena in US Open 2015 and yesterday.
