Andres Bella Art of Nadal Decorates Babolat Headquarters

A Rafael Nadal portrait by artist and friend of Tennis Prose Andres Bella, was commissioned by Babolat for their headquarters in Lyon, France.

The Nadal portrait is created entirely out of tennis string layered on top of the tennis racquet provided by Babolat. The backdrop consists of tennis string on wood and is spray painted to represent the clay court he is known for dominating. The wood frame is custom made and painted in green to bring the entire work together. The artwork stands at 39.25in tall by 18.75in wide. abrafaart Babolat rep Daniel Becker explains the genesis of his company embracing the unique work by Bella: “Andres was friends with one of the ATP World Tour players we sponsor. We connected over email and Andres told us he had some cool ideas to use tennis products to make art. As a company, we have a history of creativity and innovation… and we are happy to partner with people who share those same passions.” Scoop’s book “Facing Nadal: Symposium of a Champion” is available at amazon for $9.99 – Rafael Nadal is currently competing at the ATP World Tour event at the China Open.
