Got a lotta scoops at Eddie Herr today

herrI just got to Florida and saw some action at Eddie Herr, and obtained a load of scoops. First of all Paul Goldstein, Ashley Fisher, and Bobby Reynolds were all kind enough to talk about their Facing Andy Murray memories - Paul is the head coach at Stanford (fourth place last year in Pac 10- "we have some work to do") and Bobby is in his first year as head coach at Auburn, while Ashley is in his first year at Central Florida with Jimmy Arias as his assistant. Biofile: Ivo Karlovic Q&A

ivoHt: 6-10 Wt: 230 pounds. DOB: February 28, 1979 in Zagreb, Croatia. Hobbies/Interests: “You know, it is difficult to have like a real hobby because like every week we are on the road and professional tennis takes a lot of time. But I like basketball, movies and music. (How about boxing?) Oh yeah, actually, because when I was younger, when I was 16, I was a little bit practicing it. So yeah, I also like it. (How did you do?) It was only amateur, I was never actually in the ring but I liked it. And because of my long arms, the trainer who had this local club was really, really interested in me changing sports [smiles], to change from tennis to boxing. But it didn’t happen.” Continue to read full article...

Tennis Dreams

P6081029By Scoop Malinowski I have never pursued trying to analyze dreams but a recent spate of wacky dreams involving tennis has aroused my curiosity on the subject. Last week I actually had a dream that I was doing a Biofile phone interview with Gabriela Sabatini. It's puzzling why I could possibly have a dream about Sabatini who is a player I have never met or interviewed and who I don't think about at all. The only memories I have about Sabatini are that she won the US Open on a controversial match point against Steffi Graf and that she was the only WTA player to vote for Monica Seles to retain her frozen ranking of No. 1 Continue to read full article...

Murray survived and escaped with an unforgettable 57 76 76 victory that included having failed to twice serve out the win in the final set and then saving a match point at 8-9 in the third set tiebreaker. Raonic was as expressive as ever and played incredible tennis to push and push Andy to his limits.
