Fixing Dimitrov

Grigor_Dimitrov_Close_Monte_Carlo_Rolex_Masters_2013_copyright_Henk_AbbinkAt the 2013 US Open I asked Pancho Segura for his thoughts on then 22-year-old Grigor Dimitrov: “I love the Bulgarian kid. I like his game very much. He hasn’t won any big matches. You have to win a big match.” Since then the career of Super G has been short of Super. From a career high rank of no. 8 in August of 2014 Dimitrov has fallen out of the top 20 range and is currently stuck at 26. He beat world no. 1 Djokovic in 2013 and has won four ATP titles and reached the semis of Wimbledon two years ago but far far more was expected. Continue to read full article...

Alexandra Stevenson won’t give up

wimblesnowYou remember Alexandra Stevenson because everybody remembers Alexandra Stevenson. The big serving Californian reached the semifinals of Wimbledon way back in 1999 and a career high ranking of 18 in 2002. A combination of injuries, errors, inconsistency and probably the new waves of quicker more athletic players stunted Stevenson's career rise but guess what? The daughter of Julius Erving is still out there playing professional tennis. Stevenson actually played 20 ITF tournaments last year in places like Continue to read full article...

There have been some hints of fire and fury in Sam during this heated three set night match quarterfinal vs grinder Tim Smyczek in Delray Beach. A couple of Smee fans apparently had some words with the usually impeccably mannered Sam. After he lost the first set 67 Sam has implored himself on with several mild come ons and soft fist pumps after clutch shots. Continue to read full article...

12719243_10206993284603830_4064585546137967468_oI first heard the buzz about Taylor Fritz two years ago at Eddie Herr as insiders were talking about how hard he could hit the ball. Then last year he made his name known as an elite junior by finaling at Roland Garros and winning the US Open. On top of that Fritz won two ATP Challengers at the end of last season. Be Something Greater

Murray_02Christopher Chaffee What if a child dreamed of becoming something other than what society had intended? What if a child aspired to something greater? - Man of Steel You are standing face to face with adversity and it's not going to let you get through. In this moment the challenge is staring right in front of you, not backing down. In a moment of truth, it is forcing you to make a choice. The challenge is standing in front you not backing down. You are nervous, you are scared, you don't won't to fail, you don't want to lose. However, something inside tells you to hold on. Just hold on and fight. You close your eyes and take a deep breathe in and suddenly start to feel all the outside distractions and surroundings around disappear. You breathe out and you feel relaxed. Now you are calm, strong, and focused. You feel excited, strong, and determined inside. Ready to step up and strive toward your hopes and dreams. Nothing is going to stand in your way and suddenly you believe. Open your eyes. Continue to read full article...
