Djokovic vs. Nadal Live Discussion

Nadal explodes to a 3-0 lead but Djokovic stunningly battles to level it at 3. But then Nadal wins the next two games for 5-3. Crowd seems clearly in Djokovic's corner. Looks like we have a marathon in the making here as both combatants are looking to make history, Djokovic seeks to achieve the career Grand Slam while Rafa wants to smash Borg's record collect his seventh Roland Garros title. Status: Former ATP Tennis Professional. Former French Open doubles champ and ESPN TV commentator. Currently serves as head coach of Syracuse University women’s tennis team. First Tennis Memory: “That would be playing the Firecracker Open at the court in Luddington, Michigan. My dad was the high school tennis coach. And he always had the Firecracker Open during the Fourth of July and the Cannonball Classic on Labor Day, U.S. Open. And just going out there and competing for the first time, figuring out what the score meant and trying to get the ball in the box and rallying with a wood racquet with the white tennis balls.” Continue to read full article...

Andy Murray looked ready to throw in the towel early in the first set vs. Jarkko Nieminen. He seemed to be agonized by both back and sometimes right knee pain, quickly falling to a 0-4 hole. Patrick McEnroe, at one point when it was 0-3 said, "it's over." Murray looked hopeless, barely moving, wincing in discomfort, slapping away desperate shots which either fell in for laser winners or landed 15 feet out or into the net.
