By Scoop Malinowski This is a piece I penned for www.BoxingInsider.com... Andy Roddick recently befriended Tim Bradley at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, CA. Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open champion and a boxing fan, shared his views on what he thinks will happen when Manny Pacquiao clashes with Bradley on June 9. Continue to read full article...

Observing Serena

Just watched some of Serena vs. Roberta Vinci. Serena takes the first set 62 and holds serve to start the second. She skips going to her chair for a quick drink like most all the other players do, and walks slowly in a trance like state of focus around the far net post. Serena also does not use a towel behind the baseline, in fact her towel is at her chair. Continue to read full article...

Raonic Eager To Conquer Murray

Milos Raonic is the 26th seed here at the Sony Ericsson Open but in the coming years you just might see the number next to his name drop to a single digit. The intelligent Canadian is showing all the signs of becoming a top ATP player, and also making all the right sounds. Continue to read full article...

Friday at Sony Ericsson

> Tsonga was down 0-3 to Malisse but won 75 75 on court one. The court was jammed with Tsonga fans. Dolgopolov struggled with Veic, was down a break early but came back to win 64 75 on court three. Dolgo had a good sized crowd cheering him on and he did not disappoint. The best point of the tournament I've seen so far was Dolgo ripping a serve to the ad court which he followed to the net... As her physical prime has waned in recent years, Serena Williams has relied on emotional adrenaline to uplift and carry her through tough matches. Some call it "beast mode." Serena, making her return to WTA competition at the Miami Sony Ericsson event this week, admittedly says she doesn't recognize herself in photos and videos after some of her most spectacular, animalistic triumphs where she has emitted primal screams and with mouth agape, bared her fangs like a lioness. Biofile: Elena Vesnina Interview

Funny Tennis Memory: "I remember I was playing one time in India and next court to me, Vania King actually - she put the banana on the chair and the monkey came and took it. Shoe Review: Wilson Trance Vision II

By Scoop Malinowski Best clay court shoe I've ever worn, simple as that. Perfect shoe for many reasons. Full length herringbone tread equals ideal traction. I played four sets in the Wilson Tour Vision and never slipped once on the Har Tru at Payne Park in Sarasota. Continue to read full article...
